Are you a qualified Aircraft Fitter with aerospace experience? Join our client, one of the world\’s leading aerospace manufacturers and play a key role in the assembling team.
Role Overview:
You\’ll carry out a variety of hands-on tasks including drilling, shimming, and sealing, using both hand and power tools to ensure precise assembly. The role involves working in confined spaces and at height, such as inside aircraft fuel tanks, so confidence in these environments is essential. After completing the necessary training, you\’ll also be responsible for signing off your own work through 1st party certification, ensuring every task meets the highest standards.
To be considered, you must have:
- A completed engineering apprenticeship (e.g., aircraft maintenance, sheet metal, tool making, fitting/turning)
- NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 (or equivalent) in engineering
- Experience in a fitter or assembly role, ideally in aerospace or engineering
- Strong practical skills and confidence using hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Willingness and physical ability to work in confined spaces and at height
- Experience on the A400M or similar aircraft is highly desirable
Additional Information:
- Pre-employment medical assessment required
- BPSS clearance must be obtained before starting
