A Material Support Specialist is required to join a high-performance operational support team responsible for ensuring the UK A400M fleet remains fully equipped, mission-ready, and able to meet its Maintenance and Flying Programme commitments. Working closely with MRO and P145 teams and reporting to the Material Demand Coordinator, the specialist will play a vital role in managing and escalating material demands across the fleet.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain operational oversight of all material requirements supporting maintenance and technical activities across the UK A400M fleet, both domestically and worldwide.
  • Provide expert support during AOG events, contributing to recovery coordination and participating in global conference calls.
  • Escalate critical AOG and Work Stop items, including depth maintenance parts and ADFs at risk.
  • Liaise directly with the customer regarding MTP material procurement, escalating any items unable to meet required delivery deadlines.
  • Follow up on delayed items, incorrect or missing documentation, incomplete requisitions, and unresolved supply issues.
  • Attend daily operational briefings and planning meetings, contributing to fleet readiness and operational decision-making.
