Location: Manchester / Hybrid

Contract Type: Outside IR35 (subject to evaluation)

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a Senior EICA Engineer to support the delivery of major UK water framework projects. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded engineering team, working across the full project lifecycle from design through to commissioning.

You will take a key role providing technical leadership in Electrical, Control and Instrumentation (EICA), ensuring solutions are compliant and commercially effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality EICA design documentation in line with client specifications and industry standards
  • Produce electrical, control and instrumentation designs (outline and detailed)
  • Conduct site surveys and provide technical input during project delivery
  • Attend and report on Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs)
  • Review and approve subcontractor designs
  • Prepare equipment specifications and requisitions
  • Prepare installation scopes of work
  • Conduct technical bid assessments
  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation and industry standards, including WIMES
  • Provide support during construction and commissioning phases

Essential Experience

  • Significant experience in UK water sector projects is essential.
  • Significant experience in EICA, electrical or control engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of WIMES standards and UK engineering regulations.
  • Experience working in hazardous areas (ATEX environments).
  • Proven experience with CE marking and directives including ATEX, PED, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive and EMC.
  • Experience attending FAT and commissioning activities.
  • Experience across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic or Control Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Apprenticeship route considered with relevant experience.
