We're recruiting for a Section Engineer to join a major infrastructure project in Devonport. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role on a complex, high-profile scheme within a collaborative delivery environment.
The Role
You will take ownership of a section of works, ensuring construction is delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. Working in a client-facing capacity, you'll coordinate site teams and subcontractors while supporting overall project performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee site activities, subcontractors, and daily coordination of works
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, RAMS, and site procedures
- Review technical drawings and documentation, raising RFIs/TQs/NCRs as required
- Manage risks and support planning/programming of works
- Engage with stakeholders and contribute to reporting and project delivery
About You
- Minimum 2+ years' experience in a site-based engineering role
- Strong understanding of construction methods and project environments
- Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and teams
- IT proficient (MS Office; planning/document systems)
Qualifications:
- Degree, HNC or HND in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- CSCS card (essential)
- SMSTS/IOSH, BIM or planning software experience (desirable)
