We're looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join a growing marine engineering team, delivering complex projects in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
The Role
You'll lead technical delivery on electrical design projects, working independently while mentoring engineers and ensuring high-quality, on-time, on-budget delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver complex electrical design solutions and technical documentation
- Lead technical reviews and support project planning
- Act as a key point of contact for customers and stakeholders
- Mentor junior engineers and support team development
- Ensure compliance with QMS, safety, and regulatory standards
- Identify cost savings and support commercial delivery
Key Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified (or equivalent experience)
- 7+ years in engineering (Marine, Aerospace, Automotive, Energy or similar)
- Strong experience in:
- Electrical system design
- Schematic analysis
- Cable management & segregation
- Load calculations
Desirable
- Naval ship or marine cable network experience
