Belcan Engineering Services is recruiting for an Aerospace Repair Engineer to work within the Repair Team in Bristol. This is a permanent position, initially office based, moving to a hybrid working pattern once established in the role.
Aircraft Repair Engineering and Customer Service Support for Aircraft Manufacturers, Airlines and Part 21J organisations is in our DNA. Our team is built upon over 16 years of Aircraft Repair Engineering, heritage designing, analysing, approving and delivering minor and major primary and secondary structural repairs on behalf of one of the world's largest aircraft OEMs.
If you want to be part of a reactive, proactive, fast-paced, exciting, digital-focused and efficient Aircraft Repair Engineering Team, then we want to hear from you. The role involves working on various damage scenarios, including lightning strike and uncontained rotor failure damage, as well as major aircraft repair embodiment programmes covering the entire fleet for large commercial and military aircraft (fixed wing and rotors).
Working within a team of dedicated, proactive, forward-thinking, friendly and experienced design, static and fatigue engineers, the repair engineer's role would suit a candidate with current or recent fixed wing MRO Technical Services / Airworthiness Engineering experience. Exposure to communicating with OEMs, compiling structural damage reports, and digesting approved Technical Publications such as SRM, AMM, IPC, MPD, AD and SBs is essential. Any OEM in-service repair experience will also be considered.
Key responsibilities include:
- Construction of Technical Dispositions
- Repair Instructions
- Writing of approval documentation
An appreciation of how the digital world can be applied to our everyday working practices, such as coding and Excel macros writing, is beneficial. AOG and short turnaround requests are frequent, and the rewards include taking control of a task from start to finish, with the satisfaction of closure when the collated team's work has been approved.
You will need to thrive on the responsibility of working with a highly tuned Engineering team who always aim to achieve. Delivering real repairs for live aircraft, on time and with quality, is the minimum expectation. This role is primarily Monday to Friday and based in the Filton, Bristol office. Once familiar in the role and having achieved an appropriate level of delegated signatory, there is the opportunity to move to a hybrid working pattern. There will also be flexibility to undertake weekend working (Saturday and Sunday), providing additional variety and opportunities to support wider team activities.
As well as career development and a friendly and collaborative team, you will benefit from:
- Company Pension scheme
- Generous holiday allowance
- Private Medical Insurance
- Car scheme
- Hybrid and flexible working policies
