Are you passionate about delivering precision engineering solutions? Belcan is looking for a Junior Detail Design Engineer with expertise in Outfit, Structural, or Electrical design to join our Naval team. This role offers the opportunity to further develop your experience across Outfit, Structural, and Electrical disciplines within complex marine engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities of a Junior Detail Design Engineer:

  • Engineering Design & Documentation: Produce detailed engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications using industry-standard CAD tools. Generate referenceable evidence to support design decisions, including calculations, tolerance analysis, and material selection relevant to Outfit, Structural, and Electrical systems.
  • Technical Reviews & Compliance: Participate in design reviews, ensuring adherence to Belcan's Quality Management System (QMS). Apply regulatory and statutory requirements throughout the design process, including product safety and environmental sustainability considerations.
  • Project Delivery: Ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with customer quotations and project milestones. Identify and communicate design changes, cost-saving opportunities, and technical risks.
  • Collaboration & Support: Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve technical issues and propose solutions. Support global collaboration across Belcan's engineering network.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 1 year experience in an engineering environment, ideally within Naval projects covering Outfit or Structural design.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and familiarity with engineering analysis tools (e.g., FEA, tolerance stack-up).
