Our Client, an Engineering company, is seeking an Electrician or Control Panel Test Engineer for a permanent position in St. Helens. This role is placed within the Industrial sector (Oil & Gas, chemical & petrochemical, nuclear, pharmaceuticals & biopharma, power & energy, utilities and renewables markets). This is a permanent opportunity based on site in St Helens.
As an Electrician, you will carry out Inspection, Testing and Commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation panels/systems in house and on site.
Responsibilities:- Carry out Inspection, Testing and Commissioning of Electrical and Instrumentation panels/systems in house and on site as required.
- Ensure all work is completed to specification and deadlines.
- Liaise with the customer on site to ensure completion of the works.
- Assist in the building and wiring of control panels when required.
- Attend sites to complete modifications to existing/new panels when required.
- Experience of testing industrial control panels, on site installation work, commissioning of systems, instrumentation and control panel wiring.
- Knowledge and understanding of 3 phase systems, MCC control panels, PLC systems and schematic drawings.
- Time served electrician/Instrument technician.
- Small bore pipe pressure testing.
- City & Guilds- 2391 Test & Inspection.
- City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition.
- Company Pension Scheme - 5% of basic annual salary.
