Belcan is seeking an experienced Senior Static Stress Engineer with a strong track record in airframe structural analysis to join our cuttingâedge Research & Technology team. You will be driving correlation between physical test results and analytical outputs, owning your work, and keeping programmes on track with confidence and independence. This is a long-term contract role and is Inside IR35.
What Youâll Be Doing
- Interrogate, navigate, and interpret GFEM models to correlate analysis with test outcomes
- Perform detailed test data analysis
- Produce clear, professional reports in the established Airbus style
What You Will Bring
- Proven experience as an aircraft stress engineer, analysing primary structures using both hand calculations and computational methods (including ISAMI)
- Strong background in linear FEA (Nastran, Patran / HyperMesh)
- Solid understanding of aircraft production methods
- Ability to quickly assess structural challenges and guide team members effectively
- Selfâdriven, comfortable working autonomously, and proactive in solving problems
- Excellent communication across presentations, discussions, and technical reports
Bonus Skills
- Experience in R&D environments
- Familiarity with 3DX, especially 'Design Model to FEM' conversion
