Overview
Electrical Functional Designer, Electrical Test Cutting Edge Aerospace Test Rig Development Inside IR35 - 12 month project - Filton, Bristol.
Onsite for first 8 weeks, then Hybrid working model 3 & 2 days.
Belcan are looking for a Senior Electrical Functional Designer to join a high-impact Test programme, driving the design and development of advanced electrical systems for next generation aerospace test rigs.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design of electrical systems that power our client’s most sophisticated aerospace test rigs.
- Interpret client methodologies, standards, and supplier data to produce robust electrical circuitry and system definitions.
- Deliver detailed electrical designs accommodating High & Low voltage variations (HV/LV), component-specific needs, and complex system behaviours.
- Produce high-quality 2D electrical drawings (principals, wiring diagrams, parts, installations) using Auto CAD.
- Manage interfaces between electrics, test structures, and cross-functional systems.
- Apply awareness of manufacturing and installation processes to create designs that work in the real world.

- Proven capability in end-to-end electrical system design
- Confident interpreting supplier and client technical data
- Solid Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Power Point, etc.)
