An exciting contract opportunity has arisen for a Material Resource Planning Controller within the engineering and manufacturing industry. The Material Resource Planning Controller will play a critical role in ensuring material availability, maintaining supply chain plans, managing supplier performance, and supporting production schedules. Working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, you will help ensure operational and customer commitments are achieved.

Contract Details

    • Position: Material Resource Planning Controller
    • Engagement Type: Full time, 12 month Contract Role inside IR35
    • Location: Warwick

Responsibilities

    • Respond to demand fluctuations and provide clear analysis on supply chain implications and delivery commitments.
    • Maintain accurate planning data and material control information within ERP systems.
    • Manage inventory levels across the supply chain to ensure stock is available when required.
    • Monitor supplier delivery performance and maintain accurate schedules within SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
    • Resolve planning and delivery issues through established processes, systems, and reporting tools.
    • Act as the primary operational contact for suppliers, driving improvements in planning, inventory control, lead times, and delivery performance.
    • Lead supplier performance reviews and ensure quality, cost, and delivery objectives are achieved.
    • Coordinate recovery plans and escalation activities where material shortages or delivery risks occur.
    • Assess supplier capacity and workload constraints that may impact operational performance.
    • Support new product or component introductions through established supply chain processes.

Requirements

    • Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing, purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or production planning environments.
    • Strong understanding of production planning and material control processes.
    • Knowledge of inventory management, quality systems, and supply chain operations.
    • Experience using SAP or a similar ERP platform.
    • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
    • Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive and results-driven approach.
    • Ability to build effective supplier relationships and influence positive outcomes.
