Production Planner

We are seeking an experienced Production Planner to join an exciting commercial shipbuilding project on a contract basis.

Please note that Ltd company engagements are not available for this position

The successful Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining production schedules, ensuring materials, capacity and resources are aligned to meet project requirements.

Strong experience using SAP is essential, being used for production planning, scheduling, reporting and master data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain production plans and schedules.
  • Monitor production progress and adjust plans as required.
  • Use SAP for production, materials and capacity planning.
  • Maintain accurate BOMs, routings and planning data within SAP.
  • Liaise with operations, procurement and suppliers to support production delivery.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Production Planner, Manufacturing Planner, Supply Chain Planner or similar.
  • Strong hands-on experience with SAP.
  • Experience managing complex production schedules and multi-level BOMs.
  • Background in fabrication, heavy manufacturing or engineering environments.
  • Shipbuilding experience would be highly desirable.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner to support a major commercial shipbuilding programme while working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
