Reporting to: Chief Operating Officer

About the role: We are seeking a Tech & Operations Change Leader to drive the transformation of our core operational processes through digitisation, automation, and data-led decision-making. This role sits at the intersection of technology, operations, and data, with a mandate to modernise how we deliver services, improve scalability, and enhance client and employee experience. You will lead strategic change initiatives across the business—replacing manual workflows, optimising legacy systems, and embedding modern platforms and data capabilities. Working closely with senior stakeholders across Operations, Technology, and Product, you will act as a catalyst for continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is a high-impact role suited to a hands-on leader who combines strong technical understanding with operational insight and the ability to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of digitisation and automation initiatives across core operational processes (e.g., onboarding, reporting, billing).
  • Identify and prioritise transformation opportunities with clear ROI and business impact.
  • Process Optimisation & Automation: Analyse existing workflows and redesign processes using automation, AI, and workflow tools. Reduce manual intervention, improve accuracy, and increase throughput and scalability. Partner with Engineering and Architecture teams to design and implement scalable, integrated solutions. Drive the adoption of modern platforms (e.g., AI tools, data platforms, workflow engines).
  • Data & Insights: Embed data-driven decision-making across operations, including KPI frameworks, dashboards, and performance tracking. Improve data quality, governance, and accessibility across systems.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior business leaders to align on priorities, manage expectations, and drive adoption of new processes. Act as a bridge between technical teams and operational users.
  • Change Management & Adoption: Ensure successful implementation through structured change management, training, and communication. Build a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Delivery & Governance: Own delivery timelines, budgets, and outcomes for transformation initiatives. Establish clear governance, risk management, and reporting frameworks.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Proven experience (typically 8–12+ years) in operations transformation, technology delivery, or consulting, ideally within financial services.
  • Strong track record of delivering digitisation, automation, or process transformation programmes at scale.
  • Experience working with data platforms (e.g., Snowflake) and integrating data into operational workflows.
  • Exposure to workflow automation tools (e.g., n8n, Power Automate, BPM platforms) and modern SaaS ecosystems.
  • Experience managing cross-functional programmes involving business, technology, and data teams.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and controls, preferably in regulated environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Mathematics).

Skills Required:

  • Technical & Data Acumen: Strong understanding of system architectures, APIs, data flows, and integration patterns. Ability to translate business problems into technology and data solutions.
  • Process Excellence: Expertise in process mapping, optimisation, and automation (Lean, Six Sigma or equivalent mindset).
  • Delivery & Execution: Strong programme/project management capabilities with a focus on outcomes and ROI. Ability to manage complexity and deliver in fast-paced environments.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to define and execute a transformation roadmap aligned to business objectives. Strong problem-solving skills with a structured, analytical approach.
  • Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders. Ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Leadership & Change: Proven ability to drive change, build buy-in, and lead cross-functional teams (directly or indirectly). Resilient, proactive, and comfortable challenging the status quo.
