Belair Coffee is growing, and we’re looking for an additional field service engineer to join our team and support our continued expansion and development. Experience with coffee machines is preferred, but applicants with transferable engineering skills will also be strongly considered. Full training with each of our Coffee Machine manufacturers will be provided.
Location: covering a 50 mile radius of Milton Keynes which is where our office and warehouse is based. This includes working in the London area and occasionally travelling to further customers as far as Coventry, Nottingham, Leeds, etc.
Fulltime, Permanent role Monday–Friday 8:30am–5pm with occasional paid overtime.
Salary: £29,000–£34,000 per annum, depending on experience and relevant engineering background.
Company Van provided (also available for personal use if using your own fuel).
What We're Looking For
- Essential:
- Full, clean UK Driving Licence
- Aged 25 years or over (insurance requirement)
- Previous engineering experience
- Experience diagnosing and repairing faults
- A good understanding of plumbing and electrics
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to use your initiative to identify and resolve faults
- Excellent communication skills with both customers and team members
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable, trustworthy and professional
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Desirable:
- Previous experience working on coffee machines would be advantageous but is not essential. Full training on all coffee machines will be provided.
Detailed Breakdown of Tasks:
- Install, repair and service a range of coffee machines and equipment in our range
- Cover a 50 mile radius of Milton Keynes – this includes working in the London area and occasionally travelling to further customers as far as Coventry, Nottingham, Leeds, etc
- Diagnose faults and carry out preventative maintenance
- We are happy to offer flexible working hours for long distance jobs e.g. start at 6:30am and finish at 3pm
- Work with the engineering team and office on outstanding tasks and upcoming deadlines
- Provide machine demonstrations, technical support and training for our customers
- Complete all necessary job sheets and paperwork
- Record any parts used and order replenishments for stock
- Occasional overtime to suit your availability and the needs of the business
- Occasional paid weekend work for emergency callouts
