Ideally my client would love someone with previous - Purchasing, Buying, Procurement, Stock Control or Supply Chain experience, however, they are fully prepared to train someone who has never done this before but eager to learn. This job has a start time of 5am each day, hence they appreciate it won’t suit everyone, but are keen to find a person who can work with that start time and keen to learn – they will fully train you for a career as their Purchaser. The 5am start is to give you 1 hr each morning to analyse stock levels/previous sales, plan for buying before the EU markets open at 6am and purchasing starts. While starting at 5am, you will be finished most days around 12/1pm, so could suit someone looking to cut down on childcare cost, partner works shifts, enjoy afternoon gym/golf, have your afternoon’s free each day from 1pm! Purchase fresh produce and other products required by the business. · Monitor and maintain stock and inventory levels. · Negotiate and purchase products competitively while maintaining quality standards. · Support effective stock control and inventory management. · Help ensure products are available to meet customer and operational requirements. Experience within Purchasing, Procurement, Buying, Supply Chain, Stock Control, Inventory, Food, FMCG or Fresh Produce would be advantageous, but full training can be provided for someone with the right attitude and transferable skills. This is a full-time, permanent job working Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week.
