Virtually all suppliers have long-standing relationships with this company and they don't change very often. Responsibilities
- Raise purchase orders for products & materials with suppliers, ensuring products get ordered at the right time to land in NI when needed.
- Maintain procurement database, updating and ensuring deliveries stay on track.
- Work with international suppliers to manage order timelines and resolve issues.
- Inform internal staff and external customers on any changes to order deliveries.
- Spot any potential issues with orders around lead time/delivery and notify correct colleagues.
- Gather information from database to share with colleagues on stock levels.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing.
Requirements
- Previous purchasing, buying or supply chain experience.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience raising purchasing orders, invoice resolution and getting quotes for orders.
- Good experience using Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Strong administration skills, attention to detail and good basic maths skills.
- Great communication skills and professional attitude.
