Key Responsibilities

  • Group Packaging & Supplier Management: drive improvements in all areas and manage relationships.
  • Site Support & Operations Collaboration: support internal teams on all packaging matters and support schedulers and buyers with forward planning.
  • Identify and advise on packaging risks, lead times, tooling and costs, as early as possible.
  • Production & Trials Support: support production on packaging issues, attend trials and signed off by relevant stakeholders.
  • Pricing, Costing & Governance: maintain & update packaging standards, vendor pricing etc.
  • Cost Savings & Value Engineering: identify & lead cost saving and Value Engineering opportunities.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven packaging procurement or packaging management, ideally in a large food manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of packaging materials: board, trays, films, labels and the supply chain dynamics.
  • Experience working in a matrix or group structure, balancing central strategy with site-level delivery.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across Procurement, Operations, NPD and Technical teams.
  • Commercially astute with experience in pricing mechanisms, cost modelling and savings delivery.
