Purchaser / Buyer Location: Claudy, Co. Derry / Londonderry Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 Hours:Monday Friday | 5.00am start | Approx. 40 hours per week *Employer is also open to fully training someone - Keep Reading!* Bela Recruitment is recruiting a Purchaser / Buyer to join a food and fresh produce business based in Co. Derry / Londonderry. Ideally my client would love someone with previous - Purchasing, Buying, Procurement, Stock Control or Supply Chain experience, however, they are fully prepared to train someone who has never done this before but eager to learn. This job has a start time of 5am each day, hence they appreciate it wont suit everyone, but are keen to find a person who can work with that start time and keen to learn they will fully train you for a career as their Purchaser. The 5am start is to give you 1 hr each morning to analyse stock levels/previous sales, plan for buying before the EU markets open at 6am and purchasing starts. You will play an important part in ensuring the business has the right products, in the right quantities, at the right time. While starting at 5am, you will be finished most days around 12/1pm, so could suit someone looking to cut down on childcare cost, partner works shifts, enjoy afternoon gym/golf, have your afternoons free each day from 1pm! The Job Working closely with suppliers and the operations team, you will: Purchase fresh produce and other products required by the business. Monitor and maintain stock and inventory levels. Forecast demand and identify future stock requirements. Monitor seasonal trends, product availability and supply. Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Negotiate and purchase products competitively while maintaining quality standards. Support effective stock control and inventory management. Help ensure products are available to meet customer and operational requirements. What We're Looking For Purchaser or Buyer experience would be an advantage, but if not, then good IT skills and the right attitude can secure you a career move. Able to work independently and make decisions. Commercially aware and interested in getting the best value. Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment. Experience within Purchasing, Procurement, Buying, Supply Chain, Stock Control, Inventory, Food, FMCG or Fresh Produce would be advantageous, but full training can be provided for someone with the right attitude and transferable skills. Hours This is a full-time, permanent job working Monday to Friday, approximately 40 hours per week. 5.00am start roughly 12/1pm finish daily, so applicants should ensure these working hours suit them before applying.
