Bela Recruitment is recruiting a Field Service Engineer covering NI, the company is located just outside Dungannon, County Tyrone, Northern Ireland.

The Company

A super successful & growing local employer, who is investing in their facilities, technology and teams to en sue high-quality products and service, is at the heart of what they do daily.

They are a forward-thinking business, keen to push new technologies and find new solutions for this sector. This job will offer the successful person further career progression if wanted; colleagues in other departments have also had progression as the business has grown.

Responsibilities

  • Visit farms to provide proactive and reactive maintenance to large scale milking parlours.
  • These are advanced milking parlours capable of holding up to 100 cattle at a time, which will include works across mechanical and electrical systems.
  • This business also provides a full range of additional equipment/systems which need serviced on a regular basis, cooling systems, automated handling gates etc.
  • They have a distributor right’s to leading premium German and American equipment, with strong spares, backup, engineering and support services from head office.
  • Fault find and repair equipment to ensure optimal operations.
  • Advise clients on equipment capabilities and correct usage or daily maintenance requirements.
  • Support head office with information on design or equipment flaws or areas for improvement.
  • Plan your route and ensure key customers know when to expect you.

Requirements

  • Ideally some form of Electrical / Mechanical education and willing to learn new systems & tech.
  • Previous maintenance experience in mechanical & electrical equipment; dairy sector experience is preferred, but we are open to maintenance people with farming exposure or a willingness to work safely in this environment & learn.
  • Willing and able to work on dairy farms across the province daily.
  • Capable in troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems; knowledge of electrical circuits & controls would be advantageous.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to sites daily.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, and to think on your feet.
