Bela Recruitment is recruiting a Purchasing Officer (Buyer) to work in Dungannon, Northern Ireland. The Company is a super secure, friendly and growing business. Join a team where you won't have to worry about haggling on prices with suppliers; simply monitor stock levels and re-order from suppliers to ensure appropriate levels of stock are maintained to meet customer needs. Virtually all suppliers have long-standing relationships with this company and they don't change very often. This role would suit anyone with previous Purchasing, Buying, Buyer, or Supply Chain experience looking for a better pace of life.

Responsibilities

  • Raise purchase orders for products & materials with suppliers, ensuring products get ordered at the right time to land in NI when needed.
  • Maintain procurement database, updating and ensuring deliveries stay on track.
  • Work with international suppliers to manage order timelines and resolve issues.
  • Inform internal staff and external customers on any changes to order deliveries.
  • Spot any potential issues with orders around lead time/delivery and notify correct colleagues.
  • Gather information from the database to share with colleagues on stock levels.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across purchasing.

Requirements

  • Previous purchasing, buying or supply chain experience.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience raising purchasing orders, invoice resolution and getting quotes for orders.
  • Good experience using Microsoft Office including Excel.
  • Strong administration skills, attention to detail and good basic maths skills.
  • Great communication skills and professional attitude.
