Senior Procurement Specialist - Supply Chain in Cookstown

Job Responsibilities Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will lead supply chain functions and oversee all aspects of procurement, logistics and inventory management, whilst optimizing supply chain and building strong supplier relationships. Develop and implement industry sourcing strategies to identify reliable suppliers, negotiate favourable contracts and ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials at competitive prices. Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier relationships. Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimizing stock holding costs while avoiding stockouts. Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures. Understand sales performance and anticipated trends based on internal/external factors. Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain processes. Evaluate and implement new technologies and systems to improve supply chain visibility. Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards related to procurement, logistics, and safety. Reports on all key supply chain metrics - inventory levels, supplier performance, and logistics costs. Work closely with other departments, including sales, production, finance, and customer service and quotes team, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of supply chain activities. *Full job spec on request* Requirements Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Recent and extensive experience in an operations and supply chain management role within a warehouse and production environment. Demonstrable understanding of supply chain principles, best practices, and performance metrics. Increased annual leave to 32 days increasing with length of service.
