Your role within the Category & Sales Strategy team at Bel UK is tasked with driving the business through effective retailer and shopper engagement. From category analysis to discovering killer insights, delivering engaging retailer presentations, collaborative business planning and executing winning trade marketing plans, you will play a key role internally & externally growing the Bel UK business. The Category & Trade Marketing Executive will report into the Head of Category & Customer Strategy and work alongside Category & Trade Marketing Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Category Management: Take ownership for the preparation and maintenance of market reports, sharing with the wider business and customers as appropriate. Champion self-service of information from Circana, Nielsen & IGD, and support the upskilling of other functions (e.g., Marketing, Sales). Analyse and interpret all data sources to identify category trends and opportunities for the business, retailers and shoppers. Key contributor to leverage the category growth with retailers.
  • Trade Marketing: Deliver Trade/Shopper marketing executions which reflect the shopper's needs and are strategically tailored across the path to purchase. Develop and translate customer and shopper insights into creative and impactful activation to be implemented across the Trade Marketing annual calendar. Jointly build customer/channel specific Shopper Marketing plans to deliver category/brand solutions and deliver against the brand plans, working closely with the Marketing and Sales teams. Responsibility for retailer budgets, planning, forecasting, processing and invoicing each campaign and total year budget. Analysis to measure results (including ROI) and report back to business on performance where available.
  • Role Scope: All Bel UK brands; responsible for a number of retailers; core business as well as NPD (New Product Development) project involvement: insights gathering and data analysis with subsequent presentation of findings, campaign planning and execution with post campaign evaluation. Driving innovation with differentiated retailer initiatives and event plans, supported by data-led rationale, aligned with promotional and brand communication plan. Both internal and external stakeholder liaison. Execution in current year and planning for next, from a category and trade marketing perspective - act as the voice of the retailer and shopper within the annual business planning process.

Qualifications

  • Educated to degree level.
  • Strong PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Preferred experience of using Circana/Nielsen/Kantar market data tools.
  • Preferred experience presenting to clients, analysing data and working on creative marketing assets.
  • You have a strong interest in understanding the shopper mindset, working with retailers and impacting the grocery retail landscape and of course a strong passion for our brands!
