Bekk R Solutions are actively seeking applications for a mechanically biased MEP Manager to join a respected regional main contractor, based within their Oxford offices. You ideally will be mechanically biased with a strong preconstruction/design capability, ideally having experienced professional life in MEP Consulting.
This role is ideal for someone coming from an MEP consultancy background, with experience spanning early-stage preconstruction, design development, technical review, and commissioning. If you enjoy shaping projects from concept through delivery, influencing design outcomes, and ensuring building services are integrated seamlessly into construction programmes, this is a role where you’ll genuinely add value.
The Role
You will act as the building services lead across a diverse portfolio of projects, supporting preconstruction, design coordination, and delivery teams. Projects ranging in value from £5 - £30m with the regional business turning over circa £70m a year.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing technical leadership on mechanical building services from feasibility through to commissioning
- Reviewing and challenging design information to ensure buildability, compliance, and cost efficiency
- Working closely with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams to drive coordinated MEP solutions
- Supporting tendering activities, including technical appraisals and value-engineering opportunities
- Overseeing installation quality, progress, and commissioning activities on site
- Ensuring building services integrate effectively with architectural and structural elements
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, design partners, and supply chain stakeholders
About You
- A background in MEP consultancy, with strong mechanical services expertise (Building Services Engineering / HVAC)
- Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification
- Experience across preconstruction, design development, and commissioning
- Solid understanding of building regulations, industry standards, and best practice
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence design and delivery outcomes
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with multidisciplinary teams
- The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within a fast-paced environment
