Bekk R Solutions are actively seeking an experienced Senior Planner (MEP – Asta) to support the successful delivery of a major live project with a complex, long‑term programme of works.
This role is central to programme management across MEP installation, integration and commissioning, ensuring delivery stays aligned with client milestones and overall project objectives.
Asta software experience is essential.
You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, commercial teams and specialist subcontractors, driving programme performance through structured planning, Lean methodologies and clear, consistent reporting.
Your expertise will directly influence risk management, recovery strategies and programme visibility on a challenging, high‑profile scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage and maintain detailed MEP construction and commissioning programmes aligned with project milestones and client requirements.
- Champion Lean Planning across the project, including daily briefings, short‑interval planning, weekly progress reviews and continuous programme improvement.
- Monitor programme performance, identify risks and delays, and implement robust recovery strategies with clear reporting to internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Coordinate design, procurement, installation and commissioning activities, ensuring effective sequencing and interface management within a live project environment.
- Support delivery teams with programme advice, mentor junior planners where required, and ensure compliance with NEC contractual requirements and company planning standards.
About You
You’ll be an experienced Planner with a strong background in MEP or Building Services, capable of managing programmes through construction and commissioning on complex live projects.
Asta project experience is a must.
You will bring
- Significant experience in MEP/Building Services planning within a main contractor environment.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Planning, programme controls, progress reporting and recovery planning.
- Proficiency in Asta Powerproject, Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
- Solid understanding of MEP installation, commissioning, design and procurement interfaces, plus NEC contract requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence multidisciplinary teams.
