Senior Mechanical Project / Mechanical Contract Manager sought, Bristol / Southwest. An established and highly respected building services contractor are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager / Mechanical Contract Manager to join their growing Bristol regional team. With a strong national presence and a robust pipeline of secured work across commercial, healthcare, education, defence and residential sectors, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a financially stable and forward-thinking organisation, whilst working very much within Bristol geographic.

Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will take full responsibility for the delivery of multiple mechanical building services projects from pre-construction through to completion and handover, supporting a structures team of office based and site engineers.

Day to day,

  • Leading and managing mechanical projects with values ranging from £1m–£10m+
  • Overseeing project teams including Project Managers, Engineers and Supervisors
  • Managing budgets, cost control, forecasting and financial reporting
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards
  • Client liaison and relationship management
  • Subcontractor procurement and performance management
  • Ensuring full compliance with H&S and statutory requirements
  • Supporting pre-construction activities and technical input where required

What you’ll need to succeed,

  • Proven experience in a Senior Mechanical Project Manager or Contract Manager role within building services
  • Strong commercial and contractual awareness
  • Experience delivering large-scale mechanical installations (HVAC, plant rooms, pipework, etc.)
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Relevant mechanical qualifications (HNC/HND in Mechanical / Building services engineering)
