Purpose and Mission
To provide procurement implementation and control, raising Request for Quotations, Purchase Orders and Comparison Tables and to ensure selection of appropriate suppliers for projects in line with company policies. To source new vendors. To monitor current vendors on the Approved Vendor List.
Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Input to bidding process, obtaining quotations for company designed and bought in products to meet customer specifications, specific industry standards and local and international requirements.
- Working with clients and suppliers to determine procurement specifications.
- Agreeing terms and conditions with suppliers, clients and Bekaert including flow downs from clients and end users.
- Procurement of Flintstone designed and bought in products to meet contractual requirements and local and international requirements.
- Identifying and qualifying new suppliers.
- Setting up purchasing agreements with key suppliers.
- Visiting existing and potential suppliers and carrying out vendor assessments and audits.
- Liaising with project teams on schedule issues and assisting in finding solutions to late delivery and quality non-conformance.
- Ensuring all suppliers adhere to all Flintstone and Bekaert policies including quality, HSE and business ethics.

Requirements of the job
- CIPS Qualification
- Minimum 5 years in a similar position.
Essential Specific skills/knowledge needed
- Basic understanding of machining, castings and forgings
- Microsoft Office Suite of products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, TEAMs and Project
- Excellent interpersonal communication both oral and written
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Well organised
