Hybrid Wolverhampton, GBR
Moog is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Engineer to join our Military Actuation team in Wolverhampton. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development and sustainment of cutting-edge aerospace technologies. As a Senior Supply Chain Engineer, youll be the technical bridge between Moog and our suppliers, ensuring the seamless design, development, and delivery of engineered components. Youll support both new product introductions and legacy systems, working with a wide range of parts including LVDTs, servo-valves, seals, solenoids, castings, and more. At Moog, we foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Youll work alongside passionate professionals in a supportive environment where your contributions truly matter.
Responsibilities Include
- Collaborate with suppliers to define specifications and ensure compliance for IP components.
- Oversee supplier product development and manage technical deliverables.
- Lead engineering aspects of APQP, DFMEA, PFMEA, FAIR, and PPAP processes.
- Coordinate supplier design reviews and manage associated actions.
- Proactively address obsolescence issues affecting bought-in components
- Work with suppliers to implement design/process changes for critical components used on our legacy products.
- Identify and mitigate program risks while capturing lessons learned.
- Conduct technical briefings and manage product integrity investigations.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in Aerospace engineering with strong hydraulic/mechanical knowledge.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and ensure design compliance.
- Strong communication and presentation skills across all levels.
- Six Sigma training and data analysis skills (e.g., Minitab) are a plus.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
Security Clearance
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. Please note that in the event that clearance cannot be obtained, you may not be eligible for the role, and/or any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
