Are you organised, financially aware and passionate about making a difference for vulnerable children and young people? We’re looking for a committed and collaborative Resourcing Coordinator to join our Children’s Services team. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), helping ensure the right funding and provision is in place so they can access education and achieve their potential.
Working closely with families, schools and professionals, you’ll help coordinate assessments, review funding information and support timely decisions that directly improve outcomes for children and young people.
About the role
As part of the SEND Assessment Team, you’ll support the assessment and funding process for children and young people with additional needs. You’ll work with a range of partners to gather and review information, coordinate next steps and ensure funding arrangements are accurate and responsive to individual needs. This is a rewarding role where organisation, communication and strong relationships are essential, and where your work will make a real difference to families across our community.
Key responsibilities
- Supporting SEND assessment and funding processes for children and young people
- Reviewing and coordinating information to support funding decisions and provision planning

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.
If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
