A number of exciting opportunities have arisen to join our Supported Housing service as a Housing Support Officer. Three full time posts (37 hours a week) and one part time post (18.5 hours a week) will be in a new team within our service working with people who are homeless and in temporary accommodation.
One full time post (37 hours a week) will be supporting people who have a history of rough sleeping, some of the accommodation you will be supporting people into is for women only, so we are actively encouraging female candidates to apply for this position. One full time post (37 hours a week) will be working with our Private Rented Solutions team supporting tenants who have been through the homeless route and are housed in private rented accommodation.
In all of these roles, you will support people to maintain their accommodation, build confidence, access relevant services and move towards independent living. These are rewarding, person-centred roles where no two days are the same.
You will work in the community supporting people with complex needs, carrying out strengths-based assessments, developing support plans, managing risk, and working collaboratively with various services to achieve positive outcomes.
We are looking for someone who can motivate and build trusting relationships, advocate effectively, and respond calmly and creatively in challenging situations. Strong organisational and IT skills are essential to manage a caseload, keep accurate records, review progress, and provide flexible support that promotes engagement, tenancy sustainment, and independence.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
