You will become a driver for Sheffield City Council, transporting children with special education needs to and from school. You work part‑time, minimum 20 hours per week, split shifts during term time.

Responsibilities

  • Drive modern designated vehicles carrying up to 16 passengers, including children with special needs.
  • Ensure safe and timely transport between home and school.
  • Provide a positive and enjoyable journey, demonstrating patience and understanding.
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents and school staff from all backgrounds.

Qualifications

  • Valid D1 Category driving licence (vehicles carrying up to 16 passengers) or a PSV licence.
  • Will be trained to the Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme (MIDAS) Standards.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Part‑time, 20 hours per week (split am and pm shifts), 38 weeks per year (term time only).
  • Pay: £11,589.51 per annum (£965.79 per calendar month).
  • Overtime: £13.26 per hour.
