General Description

The position is responsible for leading and supporting local medical initiatives, ensuring high-quality scientific communication and alignment with global and regional Medical Affairs strategies. The role contributes to the local adaptation and execution of therapeutic area strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional medical plans. Oversees the scientific and compliance review of promotional and non-promotional materials, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance and adherence to BeOne’s standards. The role also manages medical information activities at local level, including the handling of scientific inquiries and coordination with field-based medical teams for follow-up with HCPs. Designs and delivers internal medical training programs to strengthen scientific knowledge across medical and cross-functional teams. The role collaborates closely with Commercial, Market Access and Regulatory functions and supports external scientific communication initiatives, including interactions with selected KOLs and centres of excellence.

Essential Functions of the job

  • MANAGEMENT OF MEDICAL INITIATIVES
    • Lead selected local medical initiatives, related to communication and to medical information
    • Contribute to the local adaptation of the Therapeutic Area strategy, ensuring alignment with global and regional medical plans
    • Support lifecycle management activities from a medical perspective
  • MEDICAL CONTENT REVIEW & COMPLIANCE
    • Ensure accurate, scientifically robust and compliant review of BeOne’s promotional and non-promotional materials in accordance with internal and local regulations
    • Act as a key interface with external vendors supporting medical information or content development
    • Oversee internal approval workflows and ensure alignment with corporate standards
    • Ensure compliance of medical activities and contents with BeOne’s standards, ethical guidelines and local regulatory requirements.
  • INTERNAL MEDICAL EDUCATION
    • Lead the design, development and delivery of internal medical training programs for medical colleagues and cross‑functional teams (e.g., commercial training)
    • Ensure up‑to‑date scientific knowledge internally and support capability‑building within the organization
  • MEDICAL INFORMATION & INQUIRY MANAGEMENT
    • Oversee medical information processes at local level, including scientific responses and inquiry handling
    • Coordinate with field‑based teams (Medical Advisors / MSLs) to support any required follow‑up with healthcare professionals
    • Act as a liaison with regional or global teams for escalation of complex inquiries
  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION
    • Provide medical expertise to internal stakeholders (e.g., commercial, market access, regulatory)
    • Partner with Market Access, Regulatory, Commercial, and other functions to ensure scientific accuracy, compliance and alignment in cross-functional initiatives
    • Provide medical input into materials, events and strategy discussions
    • Support internal communication of scientific updates, relevant clinical data, and product-related insights
  • EXTERNAL STAKEHOLDER COLLABORATION
    • Support the development of scientific communication activities, ensuring high quality dissemination, in collaboration with TAL
    • Engage with selected KOLs and key centres of excellence

Qualifications & Capabilities

  • Proven experience in Medical Affairs (3+ years minimum) with a demonstrated ability to apply medical and scientific expertise in practice
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry ethical and compliance standards and the local healthcare system
  • In-depth expertise and understanding of solid tumour malignancies (Upper GI and Lung of advantage) and treatment pathways to effectively support medical activities at the country level
  • Deep understanding of the local market dynamics
  • Well‑developed organizational and planning skills, enabling effective prioritization, management of multiple competing tasks and successful strategy execution
  • Ability to manage local medical initiatives aligned with strategy and medical objectives
  • Ability to collect, analyze and synthesize insights to identify local market opportunities and inform data‑driven decisions
  • Strong commitment to compliance, scientific rigor and integrity
  • Solid knowledge of local policy and regulatory requirements
  • Highly collaborative, team‑oriented mindset with ability to work cross‑functionally
  • Flexibility and resilience to navigate complexity and high‑pressure situations

Education Required

  • MD, Pharm D or PhD in a relevant scientific discipline is mandatory.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient with software programs, such as Microsoft Office Suite; experienced with electronic CRM systems.

Other Qualifications

  • Fluency (verbal and written) in English required; any other major European language of advantage.

Travel

  • About 10‑20% business travel is expected; participation at major congress and selected medical meetings.
