The Product Development Assistant (Gifting) is responsible for the full end‑to‑end development and delivery of the seasonal and year‑round Gift Pack portfolio for Europe and North America (EUNA), with a particular focus on the Northern Europe (NOE) range. The position plays a key part in shaping strategy, driving commercial performance, and ensuring seamless execution across all gifting initiatives.

Gift Pack Strategy & Portfolio Management

  • Partner cross‑functionally to build clear, insight‑led product range strategies grounded in strong consumer and shopper understanding and aligned to commercial priorities.
  • Contribute to an annual plan that meets agreed sales and profit goals while supporting broader brand and customer objectives.
  • Streamline and maintain processes that enable efficient product development, ensuring they are well documented and communicated across the business.
  • Clearly articulate the gift pack strategy to internal stakeholders to secure alignment and support.

Sales & Commercial Delivery

  • Develop the annual Gift Pack range proposal and present recommendations to Commercial teams for adoption in overall business planning.
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to shape account-specific plans, present ranges to buyers, negotiate cost prices, discounts, and trade support, and actively manage sell‑through performance to achieve 100% sell‑out at Christmas.

Execution of Gift Pack Activities

  • Support the on-time, on-budget delivery of all Beiersdorf NOE Gift and Promotional Packs.
  • Manage external agency relationships to produce market-leading pack concepts and designs informed by consumer and shopper insights.
  • Work closely with Procurement, Supply Chain, Controlling, Marketing, and Sales to strengthen and optimise the full end‑to‑end gift pack development process.

Planning & Forecasting

  • Provide Procurement with the annual pack and componentry plan to ensure optimal lead times and purchasing efficiencies.
  • Phase and manage forecasts for all Gift Packs to maximise sales opportunities and minimise risk.

  • A background in Buying is advantageous.
