Actual Annual Salary: £4,120 - £4,206 (Equivalent to £12.60 - £12.86 per hour) based on hours and weeks worked.

Full Time Equivalent Salary: £24,310 - £24,819 (Grade Ai) based on full time hours, all year round.

Contract Type: Permanent, Part Time, Term time only. We do not require you to work inset days in this role.

Hours: 7.5 hours per week (one and a half hours per day).

Additional role info: Monday to Friday.

Provisional Start Date: March 2026.

About you:

  • Good relationship-building skills and able to proactively engage with students and other staff members.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, in particular demonstrates empathy and active listening.
  • The ability to deal with inappropriate behaviour in a calm and non-judgemental way, following academy guidance.
  • Patience, be calm and be able to work under pressure.
  • Positive values and attitudes in order to be a role model to our students.

About Begbrook Primary Academy:

Begbrook Academy is a three-form entry primary school with a pre-school, situated in Stapleton, on the outskirts of Bristol. Our school population is culturally, socially and economically diverse. We are an inclusive school, and we recognise the many different barriers to learning that exist. We pride ourselves on our school values of being kind, safe, respectful and ambitious.

We are situated on the edge of Snuff Mills, a beautiful and historic section of the Frome Valley walkway that is rich in nature. Our school is set within extensive grounds, comprising of a large school field, conservation area, meadow, orchard, four playground spaces including trim trails and a multi-use games area.
