We are seeking a motivated and experienced AfterâSchool Club Manager to lead our Ofstedâregistered afterâschool club. This is a rewarding opportunity for a passionate childcare professional to manage a safe, engaging, and inclusive setting that supports children's development and wellbeing. The successful candidate will be responsible for the dayâtoâday management of the club, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and EYFS requirements, leading staff, and providing highâquality play and care for children aged 3â11.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of the afterâschool club
- Ensure full compliance with Ofsted, EYFS, and safeguarding requirements
- Lead, support, and supervise staff, including rotas and performance
- Plan and deliver engaging, ageâappropriate activities
- Maintain accurate records, policies, and risk assessments
- Build positive relationships with children, parents/carers, staff, and the school
- Manage behaviour positively and inclusively
- Ensure health & safety standards are met at all times
- IT admin skills
About You
You will be an enthusiastic and reliable leader with a genuine passion for working with children.
- Relevant childcare qualification (Level 3 or above)
- Experience working in an Ofstedâregistered childcare setting
- Knowledge of EYFS, safeguarding, and child protection procedures
- Strong leadership and organisational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
- Previous experience managing or supervising an afterâschool or wraparound care setting
- Paediatric First Aid qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience working in partnership with schools
