Beesley and Fildes Ltd are currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Supervisor to work out of our branch based in Chester. As a Trade Counter Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a ‘first point’ of call for customers and maintaining high levels of customer service to maximise sales potential. Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am– 17:00pm & alternating Saturdays 08:00am -12:00pm
Main Duties:
- Follow up and file quotations issued to check competitiveness and to secure sales
- Merchandising front of house/shop floor & ensuring adequate stock levels
- Assisting customers over the telephone
- Assisting customers face to face within the branch
- Dealing with suppliers
- Ongoing product training and development
- Monthly stock take
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a customer facing role within a builders merchant or similar environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Sales driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to maximise profit
