Beesley and Fildes Ltd are currently recruiting for a Trade Counter Supervisor to work out of our branch based in Chester. As a Trade Counter Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing a ‘first point’ of call for customers and maintaining high levels of customer service to maximise sales potential. Hours: Monday to Friday 07:30am– 17:00pm & alternating Saturdays 08:00am -12:00pm

Main Duties:

  • Follow up and file quotations issued to check competitiveness and to secure sales
  • Merchandising front of house/shop floor & ensuring adequate stock levels
  • Assisting customers over the telephone
  • Assisting customers face to face within the branch
  • Dealing with suppliers
  • Ongoing product training and development
  • Monthly stock take

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role within a builders merchant or similar environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Sales driven mindset with the ability to identify opportunities to maximise profit
