Riversland Technologies Ltd, trading as Beep System, is a growing and ambitious technology company specialising in Point of Sale (PoS) solutions, software development, third-party integrations, and automation services. We work closely with restaurants, retail stores, and other businesses to build tailored digital systems that streamline operations and improve efficiency.
We’re now looking for a talented Software Developer to join our team as soon as possible. You’ll help shape the ongoing development of our PoS platform, integrations with card machine providers, and a range of digital tools used by our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain scalable software applications and custom PoS modules.
- Design and implement APIs and system integrations with third-party services, including card payment providers.
- Build reliable backend services for data handling, order processing, and workflow automation.
- Support and evolve our in-house PoS system, contributing to new features and ongoing improvements.
- Monitor and maintain data pipelines and system performance, ensuring quality and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software bugs and support issues from internal teams or clients.
- Assist in deploying, configuring, and fine-tuning applications in cloud and on-site environments.
- Write clear documentation, technical notes, and user guides for delivered systems.
- Collaborate with technical leads, analysts, and project managers to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in software development and system integration.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python and/or Node.js.
- Experience working with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP, and version control tools like Git.
- Understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, and common integration architectures.
- Experience working on Point of Sale (PoS) systems is highly desirable.
- Experience integrating with card payment systems (e.g. Dojo, SumUp, Paymentsense) is a strong plus.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and collaboration abilities within a team environment.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
