We have a fantastic opportunity for a fully qualified or qualified by experience Management Accountant with a minimum of three years’ experience to join our team at our Head Office in Renfrew.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare monthly management accounts to a high standard in line with the monthly timetable.
- Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts across the full group.
- Produce timely and accurate group consolidations, including IFRS journals.
- Support the preparation of the monthly board pack, including detailed analysis and supporting data.
- Assist with statutory audits and reviews.
- Deliver key business variance analysis commentary and key metrics.
- Support and prepare cash flow forecasts.
- Communicate effectively across the business with operational, sales and other key budget holders.
- Promote continuous improvement across business policies and processes, implementing positive change.
- Support and mentor assistant accountants.
- Support direct and indirect tax activities across the group.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
- Professionally qualified (CA, CIMA, or ACCA).
- Strong commercial acumen and an understanding of key business drivers.
- Experience working in an industry-based accounting role.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated with a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
- Flexible and confident working on a variety of ad hoc projects.
- Ability to explain financial metrics and concepts to other non-finance managers.
- Strong organisational skills.
