Community Care Worker – Full Time (37.5 hours) Honiton & Surrounding Villages

We’re now looking for a kind, reliable Community Care Worker to join our friendly, supportive team.

The role

This is a full‑time, permanent community role, supporting customers in their own homes across Honiton and nearby villages. You’ll work independently day‑to‑day, providing high‑quality, person‑centred care, and you’ll never be on your own. Our experienced and approachable office team is always there to support you.

Rotas

Rotas are planned well in advance on a 4‑week rolling rota. We aim to keep you working as close to home as possible to reduce travel time and support continuity of care. You’ll work every other weekend.

What you’ll be doing

  • Personal care delivered with dignity and respect
  • Support with meals, nutrition and hydration
  • Companionship and emotional reassurance
  • Light household tasks in line with care plans
  • Medication administration (following training and MAR charts)
  • Manual handling, including hoists
  • Catheter care (where trained)
  • Working safely as a lone worker, following risk assessments
  • Recording care notes accurately using our digital care system
  • Reporting changes in health or wellbeing and following safeguarding procedures
  • Complete a paid, structured 3‑day induction, including classroom learning, shadowing experienced carers, and practical preparation
