Job Description

  • Assisting the surgical specialist and nurses in the care and treatment of inpatients.
  • Monitoring critical patients in the wards.
  • Client communication.
  • Attend in-patient rounds and engage in self-learning such as attending continuing development lectures and reading of books and journals.
  • Assist nurses with triage and assist with new case admissions.
  • Aid with monitoring and recovery of cases.
  • Assist with taking radiographs.
  • Restraining patients for examination and treatments.
  • Cleaning cages/brooders, laundry, food bowls, and making sure the ward area is always presentable.
  • Feeding patients.

Desired skills and experience

  • Candidate should at least possess a diploma in veterinary technology/nursing.
  • Experience in a GP veterinary clinic/hospital would be advantageous.
