Job Description:
- Assisting the surgical specialist and nurses in the care and treatment of inpatients.
- Monitoring critical patients in the wards.
- Client communication.
- Attend in-patient rounds and engage in self-learning such as attending continuing development lectures and reading of books and journals.
- Assist nurses with triage and assist with new case admissions.
- Aid with monitoring and recovery of cases.
- Assist with taking radiographs.
- Restraining patients for examination and treatments.
- Cleaning cages/brooders, laundry, food bowls, and making sure the ward area is always presentable.
- Feeding patients.
Desired skills and experience:
- Candidate should at least possess a diploma in veterinary technology/nursing.
- Experience in a GP veterinary clinic/hospital would be advantageous.
