Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Health Care Assistants, acting as a positive role model and trusted point of support.
- Assist with personal care, meals, and daily living tasks.
- Administer medication (following training and guidelines).
- Update care plans and maintain accurate records.
- Deliver the highest standard of person-centred care, promoting dignity, independence and wellbeing for every resident.
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic environment.
- Support family members and visitors.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years’ experience in delivering care or as a Senior Care Assistant.
- Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care (or willing to sign up/working towards it).
- Trained in medication administration.
- Excellent people and customer service skills.
- Ability to induct, supervise and mentor junior staff.
- Time management skills to delegate tasks within a team.
- Excellent communication skills – verbal (within the team and to other external professionals) and writing (able to write and maintain care plans) and digital skills.
- Caring attitude.
- Flexible and reliable.
