Relief Nursery Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic relief Nursery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and a strong commitment to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment. As a Nursery Assistant, you will support the daily activities of the nursery, ensuring that each child receives the care and attention they need to thrive. This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, and a genuine love for early childhood education., Assist in the planning and implementation of daily activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.

• Supervise children during playtime, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

• Support children’s learning through engaging activities that encourage exploration and creativity.

• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues to foster positive relationships.

• Maintain a clean and organised nursery environment, including tidying up after activities and ensuring hygiene standards are met.

• Assist in managing daily routines, including meal times, nap times, and transitions between activities.

• Drive initiatives that promote leadership among children by encouraging teamwork and cooperation.

Strong communication skills in English are essential for interacting with children and parents effectively.

• Experience in managing groups of children and leading activities is beneficial.

• A genuine passion for working with young children and supporting their development is crucial., * GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driving Licence (preferred)

Job Types: Part-time, Zero hours contract

Pay: From £11.44 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 30 per week
