Duties
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the nursery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Monitor children's development and provide feedback to parents or guardians
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area
- Ensure the health and safety of all children in the nursery
- Collaborate with other nursery practitioners and staff members
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and staff members
- Strong understanding of child development principles and practices
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment for children
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging behaviours with care
- Organizational skills to plan activities, keep records, and maintain a clean nursery environment
