The Opportunity:

We’re searching for an experienced, caring, and energetic Team Leader to support our residential home in Peterborough. You’ll be working with young individuals (aged 8–18) who may face challenges related to autism, learning disabilities, and emotional or behavioural needs. Your role will be pivotal in helping them grow, while also guiding and supporting the staff team. You’ll work on a rotating schedule that includes weekends, bank holidays, and routine overnight stays.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:

  • Supporting the Home Manager with the daily operations of the service
  • Creating and maintaining a secure, warm, and responsive atmosphere
  • Participating in and helping lead care planning, with accurate records and documentation
  • Engaging in review meetings and collaborative planning with professionals and families
  • Ensuring adherence to safeguarding practices and all internal policies
  • Leading by example during shifts and allocating tasks clearly to staff
  • Getting involved in both day‑to‑day routines and enjoyable activities like sports or arts
  • Administering medication safely and managing associated records
  • Maintaining clear communication through detailed logs and incident reports
  • Acting as a strong, reliable role model for both the young people and your colleagues
