Salary: £43,636 per annum dependent on experience

Hours: 40 hours per week

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only (Paid over 52 weeks)

We have two positions within school, one to start as soon as possible and the other is to start in Easter 2026. We welcome all applicants.

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated KS2 Classroom Teacher to join our Junior School team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator who believes in high expectations, creative teaching and the power of strong relationships to unlock every child’s potential.

The Role

  • Deliver high‑quality teaching across the KS2 curriculum, using a range of approaches to meet the needs of individuals, small groups and whole classes.
  • Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with school policies, maintaining accurate records of progress, behaviour and achievement.
  • Create a positive, stimulating and safe learning environment that supports pupils’ social, emotional and physical development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues across the Junior School, contributing to curriculum development, new initiatives and shared resources.
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and families, maintaining regular communication and attending key events outside the school day.
  • Model high standards of behaviour, appearance and professionalism.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including clubs, events and enrichment activities.

About You

  • A teaching degree with Qualified Teacher Status.
  • Experience teaching within an educational environment, ideally KS2.
  • Strong classroom practice, with the ability to teach a broad range of subjects and differentiate effectively for mixed‑ability groups.
  • Excellent planning, organisational and communication skills.
  • Confident use of ICT to support teaching, assessment and record‑keeping.
  • A warm, empathetic approach and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
  • A commitment to high standards, continuous improvement and the belief that every child can succeed.
  • Experience in EYFS or KS1, additional qualifications or training (e.g., First Aid), or expertise in a specific curriculum area would be an advantage.
