Role Purpose

We are seeking a highly organised and professional Administrator to play a key role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of our school. As one of the first points of contact for students, parents, staff and visitors, you will provide a welcoming and efficient administrative service while ensuring school systems, communications and procedures operate effectively.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines front-of-house responsibilities with wider administrative support across the school. You will coordinate communications, maintain records and calendars, support the organisation of trips and events, manage payment systems, and contribute to student wellbeing through first aid and medication administration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing a professional and welcoming reception service, acting as a key point of contact for visitors, parents, students and staff.
  • Managing telephone, email and face-to-face enquiries, ensuring information is handled efficiently and sensitively.
  • Preparing and distributing clear and accurate communications to parents, carers and staff.
  • Maintaining the school calendar, ensuring events, meetings, trips and key dates are accurately recorded and communicated.
  • Supporting the planning and administration of educational visits, school trips and off-site activities.
  • Managing bookings, payments and reporting through ParentPay and other school systems.
  • Assisting with the organisation of school events, clubs, parents' evenings and other activities.
  • Maintaining accurate student records and databases, ensuring information is kept up to date and handled confidentially.

This role would suit an organised, proactive and approachable individual who enjoys working in a busy school environment and takes pride in delivering an excellent service to students, families and colleagues.

About You

We are looking for a professional, organised and proactive administrator who thrives in a busy environment and takes pride in delivering excellent support to colleagues, students and families. You will be able to manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders and maintain high levels of accuracy and confidentiality at all times.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent qualifications).
  • Experience working in a busy administrative or office-based environment.
  • The ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks effectively and remain calm when dealing with changing demands and interruptions.
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and handling sensitive or confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.

Most importantly, you will be a dependable team player with a positive, flexible approach and a commitment to supporting the smooth and successful operation of the school.
