We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-qualified Teacher of Art to join our team to lead the delivery of the Art & Design curriculum at Pattison School, fostering creativity and building a dynamic, inclusive visual arts environment. This post is for 2 days per week with potential to increase depending on additional subject expertise.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has QTS and a PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
- Has experience teaching Art to GCSE (A-Level desirable)
- Design and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons in line with the GCSE specification
- Plan a well-structured course that builds technical skill and supports portfolio development
- Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback and guidance
- Promote a stimulating learning environment through display and celebration of pupil work
- Prepare students effectively for examination and final assessment requirements
- Contribute to wider school events and enrichment activities involving the visual arts
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and ensure a safe, inclusive classroom
