A well-established and growing MEP building services consultancy is looking for a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join its Wokingham team. Known for delivering high-quality, sustainable design solutions, the business works across residential, hospitality, commercial and mixed-use sectors, partnering with leading architects, developers and contractors on both new build and refurbishment projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer with some industry experience to develop their skills within a supportive and collaborative environment. You’ll take on more responsibility across projects, contributing to electrical design from concept through to completion while working alongside experienced engineers.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting and contributing to the design of electrical building services systems
  • Producing drawings, calculations and technical documentation with increasing autonomy
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams across a range of projects
  • Attending site visits, surveys and client/project meetings
  • Supporting project delivery to meet deadlines and quality standards
  • Developing knowledge of industry standards, regulations and best practice
  • Using design software such as AutoCAD and Revit
Requirements
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a building services or consultancy environment
  • Good understanding of electrical design principles
  • Experience with AutoCAD/Revit (or similar design tools)
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Proactive approach with a willingness to take ownership and continue learning
