They deliver asset performance management through applied building physics and traditional MEP consultancy, using a software first approach.

Role: To support growth in the business, they are seeking a highly motivated and talented Intermediate Electrical Engineer. This position offers a very exciting opportunity to work with high-profile blue-chip companies delivering a broad spectrum of sustainability services. Responsibilities: This is a varied and exciting opportunity for an experienced Intermediate Electrical Engineer who has the drive and passion to make an immediate impact on a small, growing business. The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Design of low-voltage electrical installations, typically working from RIBA work-stage 0 to 5.
- Working with the team on the design of electrical infrastructures, to include cable sizing, load calculations, and marking up general arrangement/layout drawings.
- Work with the team to develop real building lifecycle and upgrade strategies contributing to improved energy performance.
- Delivery of sustainability accreditations and supporting documentation (such as BREEAM).
- Supporting the delivery of energy efficiency solutions to clients to reduce operational costs and improve building asset ratings.
- Supporting project teams by way of quality monitoring of contractor design/development, calculations, and their physical installations.
Essential Skills: Minimum of three years industry experience working in building services electrical design. Formal qualifications in electrical design. A degree is not essential providing a track record of practical training and qualification has been completed. Strong analytical skills, ability to recognise and solve problems. Ability to coordinate electrical requirements with associated MEP skillsets/requirements. Highly articulate and numerate. Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and drive within complex and agile team structures. Ability to prepare technical specification documents, such as scoping of works. Ability to contribute to written reports and presentations for a diverse range of audiences. An autonomous approach, with the capability of planning one's own workload (recognising deadlines) and communicating effectively. Good IT skills (Word/Excel/Microsoft Office). Full UK driving licence.
Desired Skills: Membership of a professional engineering body (such as MCIBSE or MIET). Experience in the design of fire safety systems. Experience in the design of low-voltage switch panel systems. Experience in the design of building energy management systems (BEMS) and control panels/control strategies. Proficient in software packages such as Amtech and Autocad/Revit.
