This is an exciting opportunity for a Building Services Senior Electrical Engineer with a leading International multi-disciplinary design consultancy in Central London. They are one of the UKβs Top Employers for 5 years in a row according to Top Employer Institute. Their multi-disciplined team includes MEP (30 strong), Environmental Design & Sustainability, VT, and Architectural Design Lighting. They are involved in high profile and prestigious projects all over the world across a variety of sectors so the role may involve some travel.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the company in a professional and diligent manner at all times.
- Provide discipline leadership.
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, design team, authorities, utilities and associated organisations.
- Attend all meetings with clients, project teams, contractors etc.
- Undertake and deliver high quality detailed engineering design for electrical building services and power distribution systems, including calculations, analysis, schematics, drawings, diagrams, models, specifications and other documents required.
- Review and manage projects from inception to post construction duties.
- Have good knowledge of relevant legislations, standards, regulations, guides and good practice.
- Ensure thorough knowledge of compliance procedures and standards.
- Contribute and assist, as required by the Project Leader or Senior Partner, or nominated Engineer.
- Support and champion equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) as a collective workforce responsibility, integrating EDI into all workstreams where relevant.

Required:
- Able to demonstrate ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
- Legally able to work in the country in which the position is based.
- Qualified as a Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status.
- Solid technical understanding of own core engineering discipline and the role of the electrical engineer within the design team.
- Broad understanding of other engineering disciplines engaged in the design of the built environment.
- Good understanding of UK Building Regulations and industry standard design reference material.
- Ability to use Autodesk Revit, Amtech/Trimble, Dialux and Microsoft βOfficeβ suite.
- Able to use initiative in response to demands of the project.
- Able to negotiate and communicate well in graphical, written or verbal forms including the ability to listen and understand others.
- Ability to understand and formulate design decisions.
- Excellent organisational skills.
- Developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to manage sensitive and sometimes confidential information.
- Self-motivated and able to take responsibility.
- Able to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to daily tasks.
